I'm reposting this album since I know I have alot new visitors to the site and many of you might have missed this fantastic album. Through the past 3 years I've posted over 600 mixes and albums and this one is one of my favorites.

Now this something that escaped mine and probably your attention. Released back in 2006 from Mojoe. They have been described as The Roots meets Outkast. Southern Soul meets Hip Hop. This is one to add your collection.

This is way back, way back when a man named Iriestyle used to work at the legendary Hip Hop Shop in downtown LA; Evidence was a little know emcee in Venice and DJ Babu wasn't apart of this group yet (despite what the cover art shows) .This is rare and historic! Grab this little known (pre-DJ Babu) Dilated Peoples unreleased album while you can.

De La Soul - Live In London (REPOST)

I'm reposting this album since I know I have alot new visitors to the site and many of you might have missed this fantastic album. Through the past 3 years I've posted over 600 mixes and albums and this one is one of my favorites.

---------------------------------

I didn't get a chance to listen to this yet but it's a live performance by De La Soul!!! De La are world renown for their stage shows. Even a few years ago a performance for record execs saved them for being dropped by their record label. No tracklisting but I'm sure most of your favorites are performed.

NOTE : Unfortunately "Breakadawn" and "Ring, Ring, Ring" are not performed in this set.

DJ Mane One - 92

With #92 of the 30 minute mix series Mane One spins some oldies but goodies as well as a few more recent tunes.

There's something about listening to records and staring at record covers that makes me happy. The majority of songs in this mix are songs I used to listen to a lot on the oldies station before I really understood r and b, doo wop, and the blues. I always seemed drawn to oldies when I'm listening to records. There are some newer songs in the mix by newer artists, but their sound carries the same weight and feel than the other artists. So sit on your couch or land speeder and partake in the Mane One ritual. If you're record player-less; use your imagination.

Fuzz & Mac - Remember This

This is one of my favorites albums from one of my favorite new groups. Those of you who heard my mixes through the years should be familiar with the name since I included two songs from this album within my mixes; Remember This (The Kickback Vol 4) & Keep Talking (True School Beatdown Volume Two).

In early 2009 Fuzz & Mac (Fuzz Jaxx & McClain Sullivan) released and sold this album only at their shows but due to  Talib Kweli's people hearing the album which included the song "Keep Talking" ,which is reworking his song "The Perfect Beat", the album was later re-released in 2010 with three new songs and the aforementioned song dropped the new Remember This.

With my download I kept tracklist of the original album and included the 2011 song by Fuzz & Mac "Clue You In".

Haroon Al Qahtani - Turkish Coffee Breaks

I'm reposting this album since I know I have alot new visitors to the site and many of you might have missed this fantastic album. Through the past 3 years I've posted over 600 mixes and albums and this one is one of my favorites.

-----------------------------

Ok this right here is an ecletic mix of Middle eastern funk and psychadelic rock fused together in a Hip Hop style. Haroon Al Qahtani, unlike many of today's so called "Hip Hop" DJ's, definitely has an ear for the funky and can combine that into something great. No top 40 weak rap (Crap) here. Open your mind people and enjoy.

An Australian Soul/Hip Hop duo consisting of an white emcee and Desi singer? You know this either works great or fails miserly. You also know I don't post wack stuff so trust me this duo can deliver with the good music.

Australia’s Cee & Bekah have been dropping The Soul Movement mixtapes (Here) since 2007. After three volumes of the mixtape they have finally released an full length album.

Blog News

Hello there DSFL readers it's been a long awhile since I took break so the Dynamic One is taking a little vacation next week. Don't worry though I have all next weeks posts written and ready to be posted so you shouldn't miss a thing.

I have some serious crud to clean up on my computer and a host of files I need to archive to DVD. I will also be working on new design for the site, nothing major though. As well as finally getting around to cleaning up some old mixes from 92.3 The Beat I have on cassette that mentioned some time ago (Here). Furthermore I also begin working on True School Beatdown Volume Three. It may seem like alot to many but I can be very productive in short amount of time.  Anyways  until Monday October 3rd.......

Peace & Blessings and enjoy the music.

DJ Cutler - Newer Sounds For Older Souls

It seems Mix Mayhem beat me to posting this mix first.  Actually I wasn't sure to post it on my site since although it has it's fabulous moments towards the middle (around the 25:40 mark) it just descends into lackluster disco music. However it gets back on track a few minutes later (at the 34:00 mark) . In retrospect I think DJ Cutler should have edited the mix down to 45 minutes rather than the time of 1 hour and 10 minutes. Either way it's a great mix to give a listen. As I stated before it does have it's fabulous moments .

DJ D Reddi - Hip Hop Revival Vol 1

I was kinda confused by inclusion of so many Gangstarr songs within one mix but nonetheless the rest of the tracklist contains a nice mix of known and little known tracks. DJ D Reddi originally from the south now residing in my future hometown of San Diego does a pretty decent job mixing wise. There are some issues with the sound levels in some parts of the mix but overall it's nice collection of tunes.

DJ Mane One - 91

Mane One includes some San Diego artists in #91 of 30 Minute Mix. I gotta say of all Hip Hop mixes with the 30 minute Mix series this is my least favorite but maybe you'll enjoy the tunes more than I did.

Blame One has recently become of the MCs I've been listening to a lot lately. With production from Exile, Blame's music continues to grow on me. This mix also contains some talented producers from San Diego: Question, Freddie Joachim, and let me also throw myself in that mix.

DJ Jedi - Live At The Do Over

A few months ago DJ Jedi  released this nice mix of Funk,RnB,Soul& Hip Hop recorded at The Do Over in 2009. Sorry no tracklist but the mix contains plenty of great music.

Unfortunately though the mix was uploaded as a stereo file but the right side was silent. I had to copy the left side and paste it in right side. So this isn't technically a stereo file but double mono but since it's 128kbps file most of you should'nt noticed any difference.

"You'll find everything and the kitchen sink in this set. Over the course of an hour, you'll hear me rockin' everything from Dilla to Ice Cube to classic boogie funk. I also somehow managed to cram some New Jack Swing and Brazilian treats in there too. Somehow it all works out.
Regular master of ceremonies Aloe Blacc was out of town that day. But big shout to LA legend Medusa and the multi-talented Jneiro Jarel, who more than capably held down the crowd motivation duties in Aloe's absence.
Enjoy!"
